In June 2019, Gordon and Vivian Yurk, being in key leadership positions, submitted their lndividual letters of resignation to their Seventh-day Adventist Church and requested their membership be withdrawn from this worldwide denomination.

Gordon and Vivian could no longer remain in this denomination after observing the SDA worldwide church slide further and deeper into apostasy, especially in their involvement with the ecumenical movement. Neither could we remain, knowing the current denomination had long departed from some of the original Landmarks of truth established by God and given to His Remnant Church to uphold.

Gordon, before resigning his position with continued prayer and conviction was given

an undeniable desire to start a home-based Mission which was borne in July 2019 with just a few members who had similar convictions. This Mission was named Flint Pioneer Mission.

Flint Pioneer Mission grew spiritually and numerically which necessitated moving our meeting place from our home to other locations that would accomodate everyone. In March 2020, Church members voted and approved a name change to Seventh-day Pioneer Mission.

Following the name change, Seventh-day Pioneer Mission held their first business meeting, appointing leaders and officers to oversee the essential functions of the Mission. This Mission's utmost goal is to prepare and train members to be fully surrendered to Christ and in declaring His

salvation and truths to a lost and dying humanity accompanied with a compassionate heart in meeting the needs of our fellow-man.

It is a fearful mistake for us to neglect the study of the Bible to investigate theories that are misleading, diverting minds from the words of Christ to fallacies of human production. (CET 83.1)

By the power of the Holy Spirit the moral    image of God is to be perfected in the character. We are to be wholly transformed into the likeness of Christ. (LDE 183.2)

Our Mission

Seventh-day Pioneer Mission is dedicated to the promotion of the truths contained in the word of God. In particular to the restoration of those truths which have been cast down to the ground and trampled underfoot by the papacy, and adopted by her daughters.
