God Communicates through Christ and Angels

The Bible shows us God in His high and holy place, not in a state of inactivity, not in silence and solitude, but surrounded by ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, all waiting to do His will. The canvasser need not be discouraged if he is called to encounter difficulties in his work; let him work in faith, and victory will be given. “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.” Whenever a book is presented that will expose error, Satan is close by the side of the one to whom it is offered, and urges reasons why it should not be accepted. I testify to my brethren and sisters that the church of Christ, enfeebled and defective as it may be, is the only object on earth on which He bestows His supreme regard. 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 / 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

“I was conducted to a few rooms from which came the voice of prayer. How welcome was the sound! A bright light shone upon the face of my guide as his hand traced every word of the petition. “The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers.” 1 Peter 3:12.” CH 412.3

𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭

“Will our brethren bear in mind that we are living amid the perils of the last days? Read Revelation in connection with Daniel. Teach these things. Let discourses be short, spiritual, elevated. Let the preacher be full of the word of the Lord. Let every man who enters the pulpit know that he has angels from heaven in his audience. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 of him who is teaching the word, then the application of the truth will be a solemn, serious matter. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, unless the door of the heart is padlocked and Christ is refused admission. Christ will withdraw himself from those who persist in refusing the heavenly blessings that are so freely offered them.” {SpTA08 24.1}

“Often as you seek to teach the present truth, opposition will be aroused; and if you seek to meet the opposition with argument, you will only multiply it, and that you can not afford to do. Hold to the affirmative. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, are watching you, and 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 those whose opposition you refuse to meet with argument.” {GCB, May 18, 1909 par. 9}

“The two olive trees, the heavenly messengers, empty the golden oil out of themselves into the golden tubes, that it may flow into the golden bowls, representing the churches. These are to let the light shine forth in glorious brightness. See Revelation 1:20; 2:1. The Lord will not accept the most splendid service unless the work is purified from all selfishness, all pride, and all impurity. There must be soul consecration. “Temptations often appear irresistible because, through neglect of prayer and the study of the Bible, the tempted one cannot readily remember God's promises and meet Satan with the Scripture weapons. “When the mind, instead of being centered upon self, is occupied in seeking to enrich poverty- stricken souls, the treasure of God’s love—the golden oil from the two olive trees—is poured into the heart. Those who impart to others of the riches of the grace of heaven will be themselves enriched. This blessed experience all can obtain who will be channels through which God can impart his grace. Men and women can reach the highest stage of mental and moral development only by co-operating with Jesus Christ, by learning his methods, by accepting His

The Lord and Angels Impress the Mind

“By kindness, by graceful behaviour, the messenger of the Lord is to give to the world an evidence of what the truth has done for his soul. The very grace of his words will be a convincing evidence; 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝, and many will submit to the sweet influence of the Spirit of God. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐬.” {LLM 323.2}

Angels Bring the Influence of the Spirit to All

“I have not a doubt but that 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 were in the assembly, and that those present, believers and unbelievers, were 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝.” {Ms119-1902.3}

Angels are “Guiding and Directing”

Angels of God Make the Impression

Softening Influence of Spirit Under Angel Ministrations

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧, actually ascending and descending, keeping earth in constant connection with the heaven above. These angel messengers are observing all our course of action. They are ready to help all in their weakness, guarding all from moral and physical danger according to the providence of God. Those who are born again, who are willing 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭, doing in Christ’s way that which they can do, those who will work as if they could see the heavenly universe watching them, 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬, who will go before them to the dwellings of the people, preparing the way for them. Such help is far above all the advantages which expensive embellishments are supposed to give.” {CEv 13.1}

You must look up to God, 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭'𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The angels of God are ever moving up and down from earth to Heaven, and from Heaven to earth. 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬. Christ condescended to take humanity, and thus he unites his interests with the fallen sons and daughters of Adam here below, while his divinity grasps the throne of God. Christ virtually says, On the bank of Jordan the heavens were opened before me, and the Spirit descended like a dove upon me. That scene at Jordan was but a token to evidence that I was the Son of God. If you believe in me as such, your faith shall be quickened, and you shall see that the heavens will be opened, and shall never be closed. We should work as did our divine Teacher, sowing the seeds of truth with care, anxiety, and self- denial. We must have the mind of Christ if we would not become weary in well-doing. His was a life of continual sacrifice for others’ good. We must follow his example. We must sow the seed of truth, and trust in God to quicken it into life. The precious seed may lie dormant for some time, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, and the seed sown be awakened to life, and spring up, and bear fruit to the glory of God. It would inspire them with that interest which would call forth effort, and they would cheerfully sacrifice for the salvation of their fellow-men. In addition to this, all the happiness derived from earth, and from a selfish hoarding of earth's treasure, would appear so meager, compared with the beauty and unsurpassed glory of Heaven, that earth's treasures would be eclipsed, and would appear but dross could they win the heavenly treasure. When someone asks how you are feeling, do not try to think of something mournful to tell in order to gain sympathy. Do not talk of your lack of faith and your sorrows and sufferings. The tempter delights to hear such words. When talking on gloomy subjects, you are glorifying him. We are not to dwell on the great power of Satan to overcome us. Often we give ourselves into his hands by talking of his power. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 to bind up all our interests with His own. 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭, and speak of His glory. All heaven is interested in our salvation. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand, 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. They guard us against evil and press back the powers of darkness that are seeking our destruction. Have we not reason to be thankful every moment, thankful even when there are apparent difficulties in our pathway? MH 253.3

“𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭” 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬*

We have an Advocate pleading in our behalf. The Holy Ghost is continually engaged in beholding our course of action. We need now keen perception, that by our own practical godliness the truth may be made to appear truth as it is in Jesus. The angelic agencies are messengers from heaven, actually ascending and descending, keeping earth in constant connection with the heaven above. These angel messengers are observing all our course of action. They are ready to help all in their weakness, guarding all from moral and physical danger according to the providence of God. And 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐬 𝐲𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, there is joy in heaven; the Lord Himself rejoices with singing. 1SM 96.2

Said Christ, “Without me ye can do nothing.” 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, how deficient is its influence; 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 can present Christ to the world as one who is able to save unto the uttermost all who come unto God through him. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨-𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 in lifting up the standard of the gospel in every city, village, and town, both at home and in foreign lands. The Sanitarium is a place which affords ample opportunity to backslide from God, to let self have the supremacy, and thus 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬. There must be with all who have any influence in the Sanitarium, a conforming to God's will, a humiliation of self, an opening of the heart to the precious influence of the spirit of Christ. The gold tried in the fire represents love and faith. Many are nearly destitute of love. Self-sufficiency blinds their eyes to their great need. There is a positive necessity for a daily conversion to God,—a new, deep, and daily experience in the religious life. PH100 34.3

By kindness, by graceful behaviour, the messenger of the Lord is to give to the world an evidence of what the truth has done for his soul. The very grace of his words will be a convincing evidence; for the Lord will impress the human mind, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. Let us arise, and go to the Father. Let us seek the sheep that are wandering, and those who are keeping on the outskirts of the fold. God help us to go deeper in our religious experience than we have at this meeting. God has rich blessings for us, and we have only a little time in which to get them. Sabbath, I spoke upon John 14. The Lord gave me physical strength and mental clearness to give a decided testimony to the people. Evil workers are insinuating themselves into the hearts and minds of inexperienced youth who suppose that they know more than they really do. Because of the preference shown them, their pride is encouraged, and the love of God is driven from the heart. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 of these deceived ones, but the message of grace sent them is not heeded. Its way to the heart is hindered by the words of men who might better remember that for every word they speak they will be called to give an account. In the assembly of the saints, while Christ seeks to make the words spoken a savor of life unto life, the foolish words that have been spoken come up before the mind and counteract 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. Let the canvasser keep his Bible near him for reference, and when an opportunity presents itself to speak of the Sabbath truth, let him pray for grace, that he may speak wisely. Remember that God wants those for whom you are working to be saved. Remember that it is a life-and-death question with them; therefore keep your heart under 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. Make every effort in your power to let the light shine forth in good works. As you walk and work with God, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 are beside you, giving you access to hearts. Ms113-1901.14

All heaven is watching with interest to see who will practice most earnestly and decidedly the virtues of Christ. Those who approach most closely to the mind of Christ cause joy among the angels of heaven. The training of different peculiar traits of character needs daily to be brought under the 𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, that every portion of the character may be transformed. Then every relation sustained by man to his fellow man will be constantly 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. If every worker together with God will be a center, and will connect himself with other individuals, they also may radiate to the world the beams of righteousness received from the great Center, and in receiving and diffusing that light, 𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥. “Christ, be thou our pattern” should be inscribed in memory’s halls and written on every heart. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 men and women on the earth. We cannot see personally the 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 round about us; nevertheless they are with us, guiding and directing. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 that we shall be susceptible to His leadings. Whenever we are impressed to say or do something to help a fellow being, we should be ready to respond at once 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭. We can be ready to do this only when we are living in close relation with God. The giving of alms, the earnest prayers offered, are but indications that we are doing the works of a Christian, and that we are 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭. Instruction was given me in the night season that I must bear my message to this people, for I was shown that there are those who greatly need a deep heart work done for them. They need to learn how to present the truths of the Word to those around them in all their binding force and in all their encouragement, that the sick may feel 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 and be converted. As invisible agencies, angels are working through human beings to proclaim the commandments of God. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞. Jesus knows the plan of the battle, and he comforts us with the assurance that he is at our right hand, that we shall not be moved. Our God watches over the children of men. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭—thousands upon thousands of them—𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠? What is their work? “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Constantly the battle between the army of Christ and the army of Satan is going on. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞. We need them, for Satan is always seeking to cast his hellish shadow between us and God. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬; Satan cannot hurt us if we trust in the Lord. Ms13-1900.4

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 encamp about those who rely upon His care; and whatever their circumstances, if they fear Him, and walk in His ways, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝. We read that Enoch walked with God; and if Enoch walked with God, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐡. Paul declares, speaking of the ministry of the angels, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister unto them that shall be heirs of salvation.” Lt24-1909.8

____________________________________ 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬

Who is it that is ruling the world today, and who is it that have chosen to stand under the banner of the prince of darkness? Why, it is nearly the whole world at large. All the world that have not accepted Jesus Christ have chosen for their leader the prince of darkness; and just as soon as they stand under his banner, they have connection with evil angels. 𝐄𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐧. Our minds are given to the control of God, or to the control of the powers of darkness; and it will be well for us to inquire where we are standing today—whether under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel, or under the black banner of the powers of darkness. 6BC 1120.1

It is expressly stated that Satan works in the children of disobedience, not merely having access to their minds, but working through their influence, conscious and unconscious, to draw others into the same disobedience. If evil angels have such power over the children of men in their disobedience, how much greater power the good angels have over those who are striving to be obedient. When we put our trust in Jesus Christ, working obedience unto righteousness, 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.... 1SM 94.1

The Master's message must be declared in the Master's spirit. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬. There is no line of work in which it is possible for the youth to receive greater benefit. All who engage in ministry are God's helping hand. They are co-workers with the angels; rather, they are the human agencies through whom the angels accomplish their mission. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬. 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Bible should never be studied without prayer. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝, or prevent us from wresting truths difficult of comprehension. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐝'𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 that we shall be charmed with its beauty, admonished by its warnings, or animated and strengthened by its promises. We should make the psalmist's petition our own: “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” [Psalm 119:18.] Temptations often appear irresistible because, through neglect of prayer and the study of the Bible, the tempted one cannot readily remember God's promises and meet Satan with the Scripture weapons. But 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬; and in the time of great necessity, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝. Thus “when the enemy shall come in like a flood, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦.” [Isaiah 59:19.] GC88 599.3

—But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, and 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮. John 14:26

If there are only a few assembled, there are enough to claim the precious promises of God.
